New Medical Staff Leaders Elected for 2011-2013

For the term 2011-2013, Kurt Kaulback, MD, FACC, has been elected president of the medical staff for Underwood-Memorial Hospital. James M. Bonner, DO, FACOEP, FACEP, serves as the vice president and Jeffrey Alken, MD., was re-elected to serve as secretary-treasurer.

Kaulback, affiliated with Underwood since 1992, is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He chairs the hospital’s committees for Critical Care and Credentials, and serves on the Pharmacy & Therapeutics committee.
He earned his medical degree from the Hahnemann University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, and then completed his internship, medical residency, and his cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology fellowship there. He continues to be on staff at Hahnemann and serves as a clinical assistant professor of Medicine for Drexel University College of Medicine.
Kaulback practices in Woodbury, and resides in Haddonfield with his wife and two children.
Bonner received his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Upon the completion of his residency at the Osteopathic Medical Center, he joined Underwood in 1988.
Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Bonner has served as the medical director of Underwood’s Department of Emergency Medicine since 1998.
His active involvement at Underwood includes co-chairing the Quality Assurance Acute Myocardial Infarction/PCI/Thrombolytic Committee. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Underwood-Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Bonner resides in Mullica Hill with his wife and four children.
