Nursing Scholarship

What the program is about!

Underwood-Memorial Hospital will make available to nursing students funds in an amount not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) providing the following criteria are met:

  • Enrollment in a nursing education program that meets the approval of UMH. Student must maintain a accumulative GPA of 3.3 or above and mantain a 3.0 GPA or better in all nursing courses.
  • Funds provided by UMH may be applied only to tuition fees.
  • At the request of UMH, student will submit copies of tuition bills, receipts or other designated items.

Application Requirements

  • Complete the Nursing Scholarship and Tuition Reimbursement Program Application.
  • Submit a 250-word essay describing how the scholarship will contribute to your efforts to enter the nursing profession.
  • Attach copies of the nursing program’s most recent transcript.
  • Letters of recommendation (optional).
  • You must be currently enrolled, in good standing, in a nursing education program acceptable to UMH.
  • You must have successfully completed your Nursing I courses.
