Safe Sitter: Babysitter Training

Underwood-Memorial Hospital offers the nationally acclaimed Safe Sitter program for you people ages 11-13.  This is an excellent program to help build self-confidence and teach important safety skills for children whether they "child-sit" for their siblings or others.

Registration is open for the two-day sessions scheduled during June, July, and August.  Participant must attend both days of the session.  Comfortable apparel should be worn.  Girls with long hair should bring something with which to tie it back during the rescue breathing portion of the class.  Participant needs to be picked up promptly at 3:30p.m.

A bag lunch and drink with the participant's name on it should be brought each day.  Morning snack will be provided.

Family members are encouraged to attend a brief ceremony at 3:00p.m. in Suite 14 of the Medical Arts Building next to the hospital on the last day of class.

Participation is limited to 24 students per two-day session.  A charge of $60.00 per student will cover instruction and training materials.  The 24 spots for each class will be held on a first-come, first-serve basis upon receipt of your check and registration- confirmation letter will be mailed at that time.
