Underwood-Memorial Hospital offers a Total Joint Pre-Surgical educational program for individuals scheduled for total knee and total hip joint replacement surgery at Underwood-Memorial Hospital. The classes provide individuals and their families with information about the procedure and are designed to enhance the patient’s surgical experience. Classes are taught by UMH physical therapists, occupational therapists and registered nurses. The topics discussed are pre-surgical preparation, surgical experience, nutrition, exercise, rehabilitation and discharge planning.
The classes are held at Underwood-Memorial hospital in the Staff Education Center, located at 75 W. Red Bank Avenue, Woodbury, New Jersey.
