Each labor patient may select up to three individuals, who are identified by hospital-issued ID bracelets, as support people who may remain with her through her labor.
Because there is no general waiting room in the Maternal Child Health unit, all non-support people must wait in the hospital lobby.
A grandparent, who is not a support person, may present his/her one-time Grandparent Pass to the Guest Services Desk or Emergency dept ( 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.) to make a visit immediately following the delivery if it occurs before or after the general visiting hours.
One support person will be able to stay overnight if the patient desires.
Support people may visit from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
General visitors--including siblings and grandparents--may visit from 10 am to 8 pm.
