Malini Iyer, MD, MS, FRCS (Ed.), FACS has opened The Underwood Breast Center at Mullica Hill Commons, 155 Bridgeton Pike in Mullica Hill.
Dr. Iyer completed her breast surgical oncology fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Prior to this specialized training, she served as an assistant professor, Department of Surgery and Surgical Oncology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
Her involvement in professional organizations includes the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
The Center for Women's Health, next door to the Breast Center, offers digital mammograms and ultrasounds. If an abnormality is found, timely consultation and early biopsy is offered, as well as a personalized treatment plan.
Dr. Iyer always considers nonsurgical biopsies and breast-conserving options before more invasive procedures.
