ACCREDITATION with full standards compliance
and what this means to you
Underwood-Memorial
Hospital has received accreditation with full standards compliance
commendation from the Joint Commission, the nation's oldest and most respected independent
accrediting body.
This is the highest level of accreditation granted by the Joint
Commission, and is awarded to only those hospitals achieving a score
in the 90th percentile range and above, an extremely small percentage
of hospitals nationwide.
The goal of the survey process is to demonstrate that Underwood-Memorial
Hospital meets or exceeds the Joint Commission’s desired levels
of performance.
Why do we welcome JOINT COMMISSION accreditation and
more especially,
why is it important to you?
Because compliance with JC’s high standards means that
we are continually striving for excellence – helping us deliver
consistently high-quality care and services to you, our patients.
These standards form an important part of our mission through which
“we are committed to providing a broad range of quality services
that are continually improved to meet the needs and expectations
of our patients, physicians, employees and the community we serve!"
Additionally, Underwood-Memorial believes it important to seek
JC accreditation to help distinguish its quality services, its
dedicated people and its excellent reputation throughout the community.
