Underwood-Memorial Hospital’s Family Practice Residency program participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).

Applying for a Family Practice Residency Position:
• Complete the ERAS application (paper applications are not accepted). We do not have a supplemental application to the ERAS application.

All supporting documents should be directed to ERAS. Supporting documents include:
• Transcripts and Dean’s letter of reference
• USMLE scores (step I and II) and NBOME/Complex Test scores
• Three letters of recommendation from persons familiar with your clinical performance
• Personal Statement explaining your interest in family practice

family medicine residency program - THE INTERVIEW PROCESS

We receive ERAS application updates on a daily basis. We review this information and decide which candidates to select for program visits and interviews. During the program visit, applicants will tour facilities and meet faculty, residents, and staff. We try to accommodate applicants in scheduling visits at convenient times, with special consideration given to those applicants who are travelling a distance to visit our program. If you have a specific interest within family practice (e.g. sports medicine), please let us know beforehand, so we can make sure you can meet appropriate faculty members.
