Charles Catania , M.D. |
|
Charles graduated from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in April 2006, he completed his undergraduate work at Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY while majoring in Biology. He gained a background in Genetics and Dysmorphology while at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and he has specific interest in the 22q11.2 deletion syndrome. He enjoys traveling to different places and learning about new cultures. His hobbies are playing baseball and Golf, cooking, reading, and spending time with his family and friends. He and his wife are currently buying their first home in Brookhaven PA. |

Margaret completed her medical education and undergraduate studies at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre Y Maestra in Dominican Republic. She worked as general practitioner and high school science instructor in her native country. She also worked as Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Miami. Her interests include volleyball, swimming and spending time with her daughter Charlene. |
Mark Grzeskowiak , M.D. |

Mark successfully earned his medical education degree at the Medical University of Warsaw. He holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from Indiana University-Bloomington. Mark has also worked as a Surgical Assistant in Chicago. Mark looks forward to his Family Medicine Residency at Underwood Memorial Hospital. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Mary and their daughter. His interests include skiing, reading and basketball. |

Johanna Kline-Kim, M.D., is a graduate of Rowan University School of Engineering and Drexel University College of Medicine. In her free hours, Johanna enjoys spending time with her husband and family, reading, dining out, and running. She made her debut as a newborn in the Underwood Memorial Hospital nursery. Johanna’s grandfather, A. Guy Campo, M.D., was a member of Underwood Memorial Hospital’s medical staff during the 1960’s and 1970’s, and he, too, specialized in primary care. |
Abhilasha Ponnamaneni, M.D. |

Abhilasha graduated from B.L.D.E.A's Medical College, Karnataka, India. She moved to the U.S after getting married to join her husband Sharath. She completed a Transitional year in Family Medicine at Frankford Hospital in Philadelphia. She then joined the New York Medical Center in Brooklyn, Queens N.Y. for her Family Medicine PGY-2 year. She joined Underwood Memorial Hospital in April, 2009 to complete the rest of her training. She loves to spend her free time with her son Dhrupad and family and also enjoys watching TV, Indian music, gardening and cooking. |
Ravi Ramaswamy, M.D. |

Ravi graduated from B.J. Medical College, University of Pune, India in 2003. Later, he earned a Master of Science degree in Molecular Pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After completing his internship at Wheeling Hospital, West Virginia, Ravi moved to Underwood-Memorial Hospital for his latter 2 years of residency training in Family Medicine. His wife Lalitha is a resident at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. His academic interests include primary care, geriatrics and clinical research. He loves to spend his free time either practicing South-Indian classical vocal music or working out at the gym. |
Oladotun Akinmurele, M.D. |

Oladotun completed his Undergraduate and Medical Education at University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He worked as a Primary care physician delivering healthcare to the underserved population and volunteered in various HIV prevention programs in his home country. He also completed an observership program in a Family Practice office in New Jersey. His interests are watching movies, playing and coaching soccer. |

Romina completed her medical education and undergraduate studies at Tehran University of Medical Science. Romina worked in primary care in several clinics in Iran. She also worked as clinical research assistant at Stanford University and other clinics in northern California. Romina lives with her husband and two sons. She enjoys exercises, photography, travel and cooking. |

After leaving broadcast journalism, Abhi decided to start over by going to medical school at American University of the Caribbean. He spent his first 2 years in St. Maarten, and then opted to complete his 3rd year in England before finishing in New York City. His travels then took him to Philadelphia, where Abhi worked at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for a year, and then back to Brooklyn where he has been for the past two years working as a surgical resident. After years of moving around, 2008 has been a year of settling down for Abhi. In between working, studying and sleeping, Abhi travels with his fiancé, plays tennis and watches Sports center. Abhi is an avid sports fan and has played just about every sport, but this year he will finally fulfill one of his lifelong goals and learn how to surf. |

Amutha completed her medical Education from Medical University in Chennai, India. She spent time doing observer ship and voluntary work in hospitals in England and Wales. She has also worked as Clinical Research Associate at the University of Miami in Bariatric Surgery and Liver/GI Transplant surgery. Her interests include cooking, painting, arts and crafts and traveling. Amutha and her husband Abraham are proud parents of their little girl Anna. |

Kolawale was born in Washington, DC, but grew up in Nigeria, West Africa. In 1994 he returned to the U.S. to attend the University of Maryland, College Park. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Neurobiology and Physiology. Wale obtained his medical degree from St. George University School of Medicine in Grenada. Kolawale is married to Ngozi Ude and just welcomed their first child, Daniel. |
Ashish Patel, M.D. |

Ashish is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the New York Institute of Technology. He was also a nationally registered EMT. Ashish was also a volunteer for pediatric HIV/AIDS research at Bronx Lebanon Hospital. He is an avid automotive enthusiast in addition to his other interests that include home theater, mobile audio, computer repair, and running. |

Azizeh graduated from Ross University School of Medicine in March, 2009. Prior to medical school she completed her undergraduate education at Bucknell University and then went on to receive a Masters in Public Health from Drexel University School of Public Health. In her spare time she enjoys running, cooking, dining out and loves spending time with her niece and nephew and traveling. |
