Safe Sitter: Babysitter Training Classes

Underwood-Memorial Hospital will offer the nationally acclaimed SafeSitter® program for young people ages 11-13. This is an excellent program to help build self-confidence and teach safety skills for children whether they “child sit” for their siblings or others.

DATES:          6/25 & 6/26  OR  7/7 & 7/9  OR  7/30 & 7/31  OR  8/20 & 8/21

TIME:       9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

PLACE:      Underwood-Memorial Hospital
(Meet at 8:45 in Main Lobby of hospital)  Participant needs to be picked up promptly at 3:30 p.m.

PAYMENT:    $60 payable to Underwood-Memorial Hospital (children of employees - $50). 24 spots for each class will be held on a first-come, first-serve basis upon receipt of your check and registration – confirmation letter will be mailed at that time.

  A BAG LUNCH AND DRINK WITH PARTICIPANT’S NAME ON IT SHOULD BE BROUGHT EACH DAY.  MORNING SNACK WILL BE PROVIDED.

Participant must attend both days of session.  Comfortable apparel should be worn.  Girls with long hair should bring something with which to tie it back during the practice of CPR skills on CPR Manikins.

Family members are encouraged to attend a brief ceremony at 3:00 p.m. in  Suite 14 of the Medical Arts Building next to the hospital on the last day of class.
