behavioral Health | adult
partial hospitalization program
Daily, many of us experience behavioral health issues that can potentially
impair our ability to function well, either in the home or work environment.
Locally,
and nationwide, statistics demand we commit to finding new ways to help people
with acute emotional and behavioral disorders.
To our friends and neighbors throughout the community we serve,
Underwood-Memorial Hospital makes that commitment — through the Adult Partial Hospitalization
Program — providing effective and appropriate treatment in a positive
and supportive outpatient environment.
Providing appropriate care is what we’re all about.
Adequate support and treatment is essential in helping relieve
distress and promoting healthy coping skills. If you or someone
you care about is experiencing
difficulty
coping with life stressors, we recommend that you seek assistance and an
evaluation.
Our Adult Program staff includes a psychiatrist, licensed clinical
therapists, counselors, administrative staff and transportation.
Together, this staff
will provide compassionate assistance and therapy in dealing with:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Anger
- Coping with loss and/or death
- Impulsivity/mood swings
- The development of healthy relationships
- Suicidal thoughts
- Stress management
The Adult Partial Hospitalization Program will provide
services similar to the intensity and scope of inpatient
treatment, but with significantly
less
disruption
to patients and their families.
The Adult Program follows an acute short-term model
of intensive treatment targeted for 8-12 sessions.
Additional
services
include the provision
of lunch and transportation.
Our program is designed to offer:
- Comprehensive assessment
- Psychiatric interventions
- Medication management
- Individual therapy as needed
- Group therapy
- Psycho-educational groups
- Family therapy as needed
- Case management services
- Aftercare planning
